【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardgivesgeneralguidelinesforthedetectionandidentificationofspecifiedmicroorganismsincosmeticproductsaswellasforthedetectionandidentificationofotherkindsofaerobicmesophilicnon-specifiedmicroorganismsincosmeticproducts.MicroorganismsconsideredasspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardmightdifferfromcountrytocountryaccordingtonationalpracticesorregulations.Mostofthemconsideredasspecifiedmicroorganismsincludeoneormoreofthefollowingspecies:Pseudomonasaeruginosa,Escherichiacoli,StaphylococcusaureusandCandidaalbicans.Inordertoensureproductqualityandsafetyforconsumers,itisadvisabletoperformanappropriatemicrobiologicalriskanalysisinordertodeterminethetypesofcosmeticproducttowhichthisInternationalStandardisapplicable.Productsconsideredtopresentalowmicrobiologicalriskincludethosewithlowwateractivity,hydro-alcoholicproducts,extremepHvalues,etc.ThemethoddescribedinthisInternationalStandardisbasedonthedetectionofmicrobialgrowthinanonselectiveliquidmedium(enrichmentbroth)suitabletodetectmicrobialcontamination,followedbyisolationofmicroorganismsonnon-selectiveagarmedia.Othermethodscanbeappropriatedependingonthelevelofdetectionrequired.InthisInternationalStandardspecificindicationsaregivenforidentificationofPseudomonasaeruginosa,Escherichiacoli,StaphylococcusaureusandCandidaalbicans.OthermicroorganismsthatgrowundertheconditionsdescribedinthisInternationalStandard,maybeidentifiedbyusingsuitabletestsaccordingtoageneralscheme(seeAnnexA).Otherstandards(e.g.,ISO18416,ISO21150,ISO22717,ISO22718)maybeappropriate.Becauseofthelargevarietyofcosmeticproductswithinthisfieldofapplication,thismethodmightnotbesuitedineverydetail,tosomeproducts(e.g.certainwater-immiscibleproducts).Othermethods(e.g.automated)canbesubstitutedforthetestpresentedhereprovidedthattheirequivalencehasbeendemonstratedorthemethodhasbeenotherwisevalidated.
